Finally

It's been a whirlwind of a summer.It's about time to get out the leather. You can smell fall in the air...Ok, maybe that's weed. 

Anyway.... The Slaying Mantis is finally finished. It's got a couple thousand miles on it now and running better than ever. Got a write up in the local rag "Biking Life", nice little article. Was a winner at "The Horse - Backstreet Choppers" show in Sturgis. Jordan shot a few pics for the rag. Should be on newsstands soon. Big thanks to George The Painter. Cool dude with a rightous shovel, and he rides the piss outta it.....love that guy.

 Also thanks go out to Millwaukee Mike from "Cycle Source" magazine. met him in Sturgis as well and we later got together up in Davenport Ia. He shot the Mantis for a feature in Cycle Source. Don't know when that one's coming out but you'll be the first to know if you're following this blog. Here's some shots in its travel attire.

Slayin' South Dakota

The last two weeks were a blur. Loggin' many, many chopper miles, sweating our asses off during the day. Freezing our dicks off at night. Fuck South Dakota weather! Fuck showering! Fuck eating! Fuck sleep! Fuck Baggers! Fuck the S.D. Highway Patrol! Thirteen days in a tent sucks.......and we'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!

I've stolen this from another blog. I don't remember where it came from (sometimes I get into the whiskey and forget shit), but it's not mine. It is, however, pretty damn cool.

 Blow it up, print it out and give it to the kids and let 'em color it in. Cultivate young artistic minds. Support the arts..........

New to the stable

The orange "58 trike went down the road yesterday. Sad to see it go, wanted to take it for a putt, but I never made the time. My fault, I guess.... That would have been a show stopper at the "Rat Run" in the fall. But the good thing is it went to a rightous dude (Hammer) from the area so we can keep up with its restoration.....not that it needed anything but a couple new gaskets and a set of plugs. Oh well, out with the old and in with the older. I don't know how he finds them, but, in its place Wubbzey brought in this "49 Pan/shovel in a later frame. Pretty neat old scooter. 

We're all gearin' up for Sturgis and we'll take a bunch of photos of the good stuff, so stay tuned.

 You can bet there wont be any photos of baggers....

Get It Right!

I just saw in "The Horse" a bike with a "CRAZY FRANK" rear fender. The ass-hat that wrote the article claimed they are made of fiberglass. And then proceeded to tell everyone who didn't know about them to brush up on their chopper history. I showed this to "The Butcher" at the shop and his blood pressure blasted off the chart.
Off he stormed into the dungeon and .....bang, crash, boom.....a couple cuss words later and he comes up with a REAL "CRAZY FRANK" fender. And its steel!!!!!

He claims he's got a few of 'em around....says he's even got one on his old fishing boat he uses as a boat anchor!!!!
Ol' Wubbzey never ceases to amaze me......

Can you dig it?

Two weeks ago it was trikes. Now Wubbzey shows up with a swingarm digger. Cool old shovelhead, but..... The Butcher says we're gonna tear it apart and piece it out. Is nothing sacred?

Wubbzey says "anybody can build 'em.

It takes a real man to chop 'em up!"

Guess thats why he's "The Butcher"....
